START-UP AND TRANSITION MANAGEMENT |
The transition is often overlooked, and yet
many cases have shown that it is this phase which may sink an otherwise
well set-up relationship. It is at the beginning of the relationship
that "cultural barriers", often mentioned as the most
serious problem in offshore outsourcing, spring up.
The key here is, the transition must be taken into
consideration, planned, and managed.
Paramount to this is to identify
the person in charge, define his/her tasks and resources and measure
the results.
